Armenian Pulmonology Center employee goes on strike

Arman Avchyan, an employee of Armenia’s National Center of Pulmonology, has announced his decision to start a sit-in and a hunger strike outside the hospital to call attention to its problems.

“There are numerous reasons, but the primary one is the failure to provide adequate medical care to patients due to the lack of ambulance service,” he said in a video message on Friday.

“I’ve decided to raise my voice of protest because no one would listen otherwise,” Avchyan added.
