Azerbaijan paid €90,000 to Armenia for flights to Nakhichevan this year

Azerbaijani airlines have paid approximately €90,000 to Armenia for flights to and from Nakhichevan this year,  the Civil Aviation Committee told Sputnik Armenia on Monday.

Azerbaijan started using Armenia's airspace on October 6, 2021.

Despite Baku's months-long blockade of Artsakh, Armenia did not close its airspace to Azerbaijani airplanes.

In 2022, Azerbaijan's national carrier AZAL paid about €112,000 to Armenia for flights on the same route.
