Soviet diplomat Georgy Ter-Ghazaryants dies at 101

Soviet Armenian diplomat Georgy Ter-Ghazaryants passed away on December 31, at the age of 101, the Union of Armenians in Russia reported.

He was found dead in his Moscow home by his 61-year-old daughter on New Year’s Eve. He presumably dies of a heart attack.

Ter-Ghazaryants was a renowned politician who severed as a Soviet ambassador to the Gambia, Senegal and Zimbabwe in 1970-1980s.
