Multi-vehicle pileup leaves 8 wounded in Armenia

Eight people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on a major highway in Armenia on Friday evening, the Rescue Service said.

The pileup involving 17 vehicles occurred on the Yerevan-Sevan highway at around 9:30 p.m. local time.

Fire and rescue crews remained on the scene till 3 a.m. Saturday to remove all the cars from the road.

The authorities said eight people were hospitalized with injuries in the wake of the crash.
