MP says a batch of Russian weapons arrived in Armenia

A batch of Russian weapons has arrived in Armenia, pro-government MP Gurgen Melkonyan says.

He told RFE/RL’s Armenian Service on Tuesday that the arms were delivered to Armenia recently as part of an earlier agreement.

In a recent interview to the Public TV Company, Andrnaik Kocharyan, another deputy from the ruling Civil Contract party who leads the parliamentary defense committee, said Russia was delivering weapons Armenia had paid for "in parts".
