Authorities probing fatal fire near Armenian army post

Law-enforcement authorities are investigating the fatal fire near an Armenian army outpost which killed a reserve soldier.

The reservist, identified as Artur Grigoryan, 39, was killed in the fire that broke out in a lodge located near the combat position of a military unit on Tuesday afternoon, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

Armenia’s Investigative Committee says it has launched a criminal case into murder under Article 155 of the Criminal Code.

All necessary measures are in place to fully uncover the circumstances of the incident.
