Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Court on Friday ordered former Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan be placed under house arrest for two months.
“I think we will appeal the decision,” Kerobyan told reporters.
He submitted resignation on Wednesday, one day before being charged as part of a corruption investigation in the Ministry of Economy regarding the alleged rigging of a procurement tender.
The ex-minister denies any wrongdoing.
