Armenian health official detained

A court in Yerevan has ordered two-month detention for Kristina Abrahamyan, the head of the Medical Care and Service Oversight Department at Armenia’s Health Inspectorate, sought by the Anti-Corruption Committee.

The committee confirmed the report to Panorama.am on Thursday.

Abrahamyan was arrested late on Wednesday on bribery charges.

New high-profile arrests are also likely as part of the ongoing criminal investigation.
