Police clash with protesters on major Armenian highway

Riot police on Friday clashed with protesters blocking the Yerevan-Sevan highway in Armenia in protest against territorial concessions to Azerbaijan.

Tensions escalated after a police officer told Artur Khachatryan, an MP from the opposition Hayastan faction, to stop speaking.

The latter rejected the demand and was forced into a police van by a group of officers.
