Protesters block major roads in Armenia

Heeding a call from Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan of the Tavush Diocese, protesters blocked the Yerevan-Sevan and Yerevan- Ararat highways in Armenia on Monday.

The Vayk section of the Armenia-Iran interstate highway was also closed off.

Motorcades and awareness campaigns were held in other parts of Armenia.

The protests are part of a civil disobedience movement led by the senior cleric against the Armenian government’s unilateral territorial concessions to Azerbaijan.
