Catholicos Karekin II extends condolences to Iran's supreme leader

His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, on Monday offered condolences to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on the tragic death of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and other officials in a helicopter crash.

"On behalf of the Supreme Religious Council and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin Congregation, His Holiness extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the victims and the Iranian people, asking that God support the Islamic Republic of Iran in overcoming this ordeal," he said in a message.
