Armenian police forcefully detain opposition MP at Yerevan protests

Special police forces used brute force to detain opposition Hayastan faction MP Ashot Simonyan during demonstrations in Yerevan on Monday.

Simonyan, chair of the ARF Armenia Supreme Body, was rounded up outside the building of his party.

Acts of civil disobedience resumed in Yerevan early on Monday to press for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's resignation.
