Lavrov: Armenia’s withdrawal from CSTO not discussed at foreign ministerial meeting

Armenia's withdrawal from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was not discussed at the meeting of its foreign ministers on Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

“The procedure of Armenia's withdrawal from the CSTO was not discussed because there was no relevant request," Lavrov told a briefing following the meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers.

Addressing the parliament last week, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Armenia would pull out of the Russian-led security bloc.
