EU sanctions journalist Aram Gabrelyanov

The EU has imposed sanctions on Aram Gabrelyanov, the ethnic Armenian head of the Russia-based News Media Holding.

The document states that Gabrelyanov "is spreading aggressive propaganda, by disseminating fake news and misinformation in support of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine".

"Aram Gabrelyanov is supporting and implementing actions and policies which undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine," the EU said.
