Hripsime Khurshudyan retires from weightlifting

Armenian weightlifter Hripsime Khurshudyan, a European champion and bronze medalist, has announced her retirement from the sport.

“That’s it. I officially announce my retirement from the sport,” she said in a statement on Tuesday.

“In a career spanning 25 years, I celebrated victories, suffered defeats and injuries, but my family and the Armenian nation always uplifted me," Khurshudyan added.
