Armenian parliament speaker to skip CIS meeting

Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan will not attend the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS IPA), his assistant Movses Harutyunyan said on Tuesday.

"Dear colleagues, in response to your requests, I’d like to inform you that National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan will not participate in the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly to be held in St. Petersburg on July 12," he wrote on Facebook.
