Two people were killed in a small airplane crash in Armenia on Friday, the Rescue Service of the country's Interior Ministry reported, citing preliminary data.
The An-2 airplane crashed near the town of Yeghvard in Armenia’s Kotayk Province.
A fire and rescue team was dispatched to the crash site after a report filed at 9:30am.
Acting Deputy Head of the Interior Ministry Yegor Karapetyan is coordinating the efforts at the scene.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
