Two policemen injured as foreigner fires shots at Armenian police station

A foreigner opened fire at a police station in Armenia’s Kotayk Province last night, injuring himself and two police officers.

Police said that the incident occurred at around 12:50am.

The unidentified man snatched a machine gun from one of the officers to presumably shoot himself.

“He fired shots, injuring himself and two police officers,” Armenian Interior Ministry spokesperson Narek Sargsyan told Panorama.am.

An official investigation into the incident is underway.
