U.S. says Armenia, Azerbaijan continue to make progress toward peace deal
Armenia and Azerbaijan continue to make significant progress toward finalizing a peace agreement, U.S. Department of State spokesperson Matthew Miller said on Monday.
He was asked to comment on the EU's decision to start visa-free dialogue and to offer 10 million euros ($10.89 million) in aid to Armenia's military under the European Peace Facility.
"We are committed to supporting that process. As you have heard us say, the time for peace is now, and we continue to work to try to reach an agreement," Miller told a press briefing.
