Paris Olympics: Armenian swimmer fails to pass qualifying round

Armenian swimmer Varsenik Manucharyan on Saturday failed to advance past the qualifying stage of the 100-meter butterfly event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Manucharyan finished 26th in the qualifying round. The first 16 athletes made it to the semifinals.

Armenia has sent 15 athletes, including five wrestlers and three weightlifters, to the Summer Olympics.

Shooter Elmira Karapetyan, gymnasts Artur Davtyan and Vahagn Davtyan will also join in on the Olympics action today.
