U.S. State Dept. refuses to comment on report of Iranian-Armenian arms deal
U.S. State Department Principal Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel refrained from making any comment on Iran's alleged plans to supply weapons to Armenia.
Armenia and Iran have denied a report that they secretly signed several contracts for the delivery of $500 million worth of Iranian weapons to Yerevan earlier this year.
"I don’t have any comment on that," Patel told a press briefing on Thursday when asked to say whether the matter was on the State Department’s radar or not.
