Central Yerevan street stinks with piled up garbage

Garbage has piled up on a street in Yerevan’s Kentron District, sparking complaints from local residents due to its stink.

Sona Aghekyan, a member of the opposition Mother Armenia faction in the Yerevan City Council, said that a garbage truck could not collect it from Aram Street due to malfunction.

“The uncollected garbage is baking and raising a stink, with local residents saying the stench is unbearable,” she posted on Facebook on Saturday, sharing photos.
