5 injured in single-car crash in Armenian city

Five people were injured following a single-car crash in Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri early on Tuesday.

Emergency responders were called to the city’s Yerevan Highway where the accident occurred at 1:41am.

The Rescue Service said that the vehicle, an Opel, veered off the road before hitting a light pole and several trees and catching fire.

The driver and four passengers of the car were hospitalized with injuries, with one of them said to be in critical condition.
