Armenia’s former Defense Minister David Tonoyan has been released on bail of 15 million drams (over $38,000).
The Anti-Corruption Court granted the motion filed by Tonoyan’s lawyer on Thursday.
Tonoyan, who served as Armenia’s defense minister in 2018-2020, was arrested in September 2021 on charges of supplying faulty ammunition to the Armenian armed forces.
The ex-minister went on trial in January 2022, denying the charges as politically motivated.
