Major water pipeline damaged in Armenia

A 600mm pipeline supplying water to the Etchmiadzin region in Armenia’s Armavir Province has been damaged, resulting in a 100-liter-per-second water leak.

As a result of the accident, water supply to the town of Etchmiadzin and its surrounding villages has been suspended from Friday to Saturday.

Crews are working to repair the damaged pipe.
