Car crash in Armenia leaves 1 dead, 8 injured

One person was killed and eight others were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Armenia on Wednesday.

The accident involving a GAZelle minibus occurred on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, the Rescue Service reported.

One fire and rescue crew was dispatched to the scene after a report filed at 2:56pm.

Authorities said the minibus overturned on the road, but the cause of the crash was not immediately known. 

Before the arrival of rescuers, the victims had been hospitalized.
