NSS raids Yerevan school

Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) on Wednesday raided John Kirakosyan Basic School No. 20 in Yerevan, arresting a male teacher accused of lewd acts.

He has been charged under Article 201.3 of Armenia's Criminal Code and is facing up to six years in jail.

An investigation is underway. 

The incident frightened school students as the teacher was forced to the ground by the NSS officers during his detention.
