Civil Contract mulling non-party candidates for justice minister, speaker says
Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan revealed that most candidates from the ruling Civil Contract party turned down the offer to become justice minister.
“80% of the candidates are happy with their current jobs and prefer to keep them,” he told reporters on Wednesday.
The ruling party is also considering non-party candidates for justice minister, the speaker added.
The post remained vacant after Grigor Minasyan resigned under pressure from the Civil Contract party.
