The Yerevan Metro was overcrowded on Friday morning as passengers struggled to reach work and classes from the Garegin Nzhdeh station.
The subway spokesperson, Anna Aslanyan, attributed it to rising ridership when contacted by Panorama.am.
“The number of Yerevan Metro trains has not reduced. Simply, the subway ridership has increased,” she argued.
The spokesperson stated that the metro overcrowding problem persisted in many countries in the morning rush hour.
