Armenian pro-government MP steps down

Narek Zeynalyan, an MP from Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party, has submitted resignation.

“I’m resigning from the parliament on my own initiative,” Zeynalyan said in a statement on Tuesday, without giving any reason for his decision.

“My political team and I have overcome many trials. I am confident that my colleagues will be sticking to the values we have proclaimed and successfully overcome all the challenges facing Armenia," he wrote.
