Hayk Marutyan agrees to debate with Tigran Avinyan

New Power party leader Hayk Marutyan has agreed to a TV debate with incumbent Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan.

Marutyan, a former Yerevan mayor, said he had proposed to hold the debate between 15 and 20 December, citing his absence from the country.

Factor TV had invited Tigran Avinyan and Hayk Marutyan to a live debate on the upcoming public transport fare hike in the Armenian capital, as well as other issues, on November 27.

The debate is expected to last an hour.
