Armenia's ruling party names pick for SJC member

Armenia's ruling Civil Contract party has picked Alexander Sirunyan as its candidate for a member of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC).

National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan announced his candidacy in a statement on Wednesday.

Sirunyan is to go through confirmation hearings before the parliament.
