Minor earthquake hits Armenia

A magnitude 1.9 earthquake struck Armenia shortly after midnight on Monday.

The quake occurred 9 km southeast of the village of Garni in Kotayk Province and at a depth of 10 km, the Rescue Service of the Armenian Interior Ministry reported.

The tremors measuring between 2 and 3 were felt in Yerevan, as well as in the villages of Garni and Goght.
