Yerevan and Baku need no mediators for peace talks, Azeri official says

Azerbaijan and Armenia need no mediators to hold negotiations on a peace agreement, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's top foreign policy aide, Hikmet Hajiyev, has announced.

"Baku and Yerevan are engaged in peace talks, and the involvement of a third party in them is not necessary,” he was quoted as saying on Thursday.

“On the contrary, interference in regional affairs by other parties hinders the normalization process," Hajiyev added.
