The pro-government majority in the Armenian parliament on Wednesday elected MP Arsen Torosyan as new head of the Standing Committee on Health Care.
64 out of 65 lawmakers from the ruling Civil Contract faction backed Torosyan’s candidacy, Chairman of the Counting Commission Narek Babayan announced.
Only one Civil Contract MP voted against him at a secret ballot boycotted by the opposition.
No ballot papers were declared invalid.
