Pyunik extends contract with manager Yeghishe Melikyan

FC Pyunik and its head coach Yeghishe Melikyan have extended the current contract until the end of the 2025/26 season, the club said in a statement on Monday.

Together with Melikyan’s contract, the current contracts with the entire coaching staff have been extended.

Melikyan has been leading the Yerevan team since January 2021. During his time in Pyunik, the 45-year-old specialist has led the club to two champion titles, played in the group stage of the European Cup tournament and celebrated the first victory among Armenian clubs in the group stage of the Conference League.

"Under Melikyan's leadership, Pyunik has achieved another exceptional result among Armenian clubs, reaching the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League," the statement said.
