New secretary general of Armenian Weightlifting Federation named

Samvel Gasparyan, a former member of the Armenian weightlifting team and a European champion, has been appointed Secretary General of the Armenian Weightlifting Federation, he revealed in a social media post on Saturday.

The position was previously held by Pashik Alaverdyan, the team's head coach.

Gasparyan ended his sports career in 2024.
