Armenia reports 260 new cases of cervical cancer every year

Armenia records 260-265 new cases of cervical cancer annually, most of which are caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV), the Ministry of Health reports.

Vaccination against cervical cancer is included in Armenia’s National Immunization Schedule as a primary preventive measure.

In 2023-2024, Armenia saw an increase in HPV vaccination coverage among targeted groups.
