Retail traders again protest in Yerevan

Retail traders again gathered outside the Armenian government building on Monday to protest against a sharp increase in the key tax paid by them.

They demanded that the government repeal the tax hike which took effect on January 1.

"Our problem should get a positive solution. They can't put 55,000 business entities on the verge of bankruptcy," said a protesting woman.

She urged her fellow traders to stage another protest outside the government building on Thursday, when cabinet ministers usually meet.
