Armenian GMs secure 2nd and 3rd places at Al-Beruniy Chess Tournament

Armenian GMs Shant Sargsyan and Haik Martirosyan took 2nd and 3rd places respectively at the 2nd International Chess Tournament Al-Beruniy held in Uzbekistan from February 3 to 11.

Shant and Haik scored 6 points out of 9 without losing any game during the tournament, the Armenian Chess Federation reported.

The winner of the tournament became Uzbek GM Mukhiddin Madaminov, who scored 6.5 points.
