Armenian expert: Europe undergoing radical changes

Political analyst Ara Poghosyan claims that Europe is undergoing radical transformation.

“The concept of united Europe will soon become a relic of the past. In its place, Germany will emerge as Europe's technological, industrial and military powerhouse once it breaks free from American hegemony,” he wrote on Facebook on Monday.

“A few years later, the European Union will be remembered nostalgically as an ideal of European unity. And once again, Armenia’s pivot to the EU will come too late and prove out of sync with reality just as, a century ago, its alliance with the Entente turned out to be ill-timed in a world undergoing shifts in priorities.

"Germany, meanwhile, will rightfully reclaim its place in the global balance of power – a development that could be seen as a revanche for 1945,” Poghosyan stated.
