Armenian rescuers free 914 stranded cars in one day

The Crisis Management Centers of Kotayk, Aragatsotn, Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, Lori, Syunik, Shirak and Tavush Provinces received reports of vehicles trapped in Armenia due to heavy snowfall over the past day.

The cars were stuck in Yerevan, the towns of Hrazdan, Aparan, Sevan, Jermuk, Vanadzor, the villages of Kaghsi, Arinj, Tsakhkahovit, Noratus, Saralanj, Norashen, Kakavasar, as well as along the Mirak-Aparan, Zolakar-Martuni, Gavar-Sevan, Blagodarnoye-Katnarat, Tatev-Ltsen, Tatev-Shinuayr, Berd-Chambarak, Ijevan-Berd and Itsakar-Ijevan roads, the Rescue Service reported.

Responding to the calls, rescuers successfully freed 914 stranded vehicles and provided assistance to 2,249 people.
