ARF member accuses Pashinyan of questioning genocide

Mourad Papazian, co-chairman of the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF), criticized Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s "unhealthy attitude" towards the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) ahead of the 35th ARF World Congress in Yerevan on Wednesday.

Papazian, an ARF Bureau member, stressed the need for Pashinyan to defend the interests of the Armenian people and Armenia in the current complex international landscape.

"The prime minister should take a responsible stance, but he is acting irresponsibly," he told reporters.

Speaking about Pashinyan's recent visit to France, Papazian stated that it yielded no meaningful results.

"In France, he met with 25 to 30 individuals whom he had carefully selected. The ARF was not invited to the meeting. Out of the 30 attendees, 25 did not even speak Armenian," he said.

Papazian further argued that Pashinyan's meetings with Armenian communities were aimed at casting doubt on the Armenian Genocide. "Why? Because Turkey has pressured him to question the genocide, while Aliyev has demanded that he recognize Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan," the ARF member stated.

He further warned that Pashinyan's concept of "real Armenia" will lead to the country's downfall as "Armenia cannot have a future without acknowledging its roots."
