Archbishop Bagrat visits party leader on hunger strike in central Yerevan

Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the Holy Struggle movement, on Monday visited Mane Tandilyan, co-founder of the Country of Living party, who is on hunger strike in Yerevan’s central Liberty Square.

Tandilyan launched her strike on Saturday, calling on Armenian humanitarian Ruben Vardanyan to end his own hunger strike in protest against the judicial farce in Azerbaijan.

In a statement last week, his attorney Jared Genser expressed serious concern about Vardanyan’s deteriorating health, urging Baku to “postpone the trial through the remainder of his hunger strike.”
