Azerbaijan notifies ICRC of plans to close its office in country

The Azerbaijani government has notified the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) of its intention to close the organization's office in the country, the Azerbaijani media reported, citing Ilaha Huseynova, head of the public relations department of the ICRC Baku office.

She noted that the ICRC is currently in communication with the authorities.

"This dialogue is part of our confidential and bilateral communication," Huseynova added.
