Oil refinery in Baku catches fire

A fire erupted at an oil refinery in the Nizami district of Baku, Azerbaijan, on Wednesday, Xinhua said, citing media reports.

The fire broke out early in the morning, prompting an immediate response from firefighters. Three ambulance teams were dispatched as a precautionary measure while police cordoned off the area.

Local authorities arrived at the scene to oversee response efforts and environmental monitoring specialists were deployed to assess potential air quality impacts.
