Armenia's top legal envoy explains resignation

Yeghishe Kirakosyan has explained his decision to step down as Armenia's Representative on International Legal Matters.

In a social media post on Thursday, the top legal envoy announced plans to focus more on his academic and research activities, aiming to contribute to the strengthening of international law and the advancement of legal education in Armenia.

He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for the trust placed in him, as well as his colleagues for effective cooperation.

"I am confident that the Office of the Representative on International Legal Matters will continue to represent Armenia’s interests properly and efficiency in international judicial and arbitration proceedings," Kirakosyan wrote.

Pashinyan signed a decree on Kirakosyan's dismissal on Thursday.
