Politician: Ruben Vardanyan’s message is a call to struggle

Mane Tandilyan, co-founder of the Country to Live party, described businessman and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan's message from a Baku prison as a call to struggle.

Tandilyan launched a hunger strike in support of Vardanyan and other Armenian detainees last week.

“The message urges us not to give in to despair, to keep fighting and to reject indifference,” she told reporters in Yerevan’s Liberty Square on Friday.

“It is a message from a strong man, a call to fight for our rights, dignity and the Armenian people. Today, he is fighting for the future of the Armenian people, their dignity and rights while in captivity in Azerbaijan. His message is clear: don't despair, don't lose hope and continue the struggle by all possible means,” the politician added.
