Mane Tandilyan visits hunger striker outside UN office in Yerevan

Mane Tandilyan, co-founder of the Country to Live party, who has been on a hunger strike in Yerevan's Liberty Square for eight days, has visited Levik Khachatryan, who is on the sixth day of his hunger strike in front of the UN office in Armenia, demanding international efforts to put an end to the humiliation and torture of Armenia|n prisoners in Azerbaijan.

Tandilyan began her hunger strike on March 1 to express support for Ruben Vardanyan and other Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan. Two others joined her protest later.

"It’s a tremendous source of pride to know that our nation has such patriotic, strong and bright young people who refuse to remain indifferent and continue to fight," Tandilyan wrote.

"I was deeply inspired by my conversations with him. He has his own agenda and is determined to fight for it," she added.
