Artsakh Armenians to gather outside Swiss Embassy in Yerevan on March 13
In December 2024, the lower house of the Swiss parliament, the National Council, adopted a resolution calling on Switzerland to host an international peace forum on the safe return of Armenians to Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).
The upper house of the Swiss parliament, the Council of States, is set to debate the resolution on March 18, according to the Artsakh National Assembly.
"Ahead of the debate, on March 13, at 1:30 p.m., a gathering will be held outside the Swiss Embassy in Armenia to express gratitude to the Swiss parliament for the steps taken by its lower house and to urge the upper house to adopt the resolution as well," it said in a statement on Tuesday.
"Additionally, we will appeal to the Swiss government to leverage its well-established role as a neutral mediator in initiating international discussions on the right of forcibly displaced Artsakh Armenians to repatriation," the statement added.
